History of Hakuhodo
Hakuhodo Co., Ltd., established in 1974, is located in Kumano, Japan about 20 km east of Hiroshima. Before becoming known as the makeup brush capital of the world, Kumano was renowned for manufacturing Japanese calligraphy brushes for about 200 years. Today, there are more than 80 brush companies in Kumano that produce most of the brushes that are made in Japan.
Hakuhodo is one of the leading makeup brush manufacturers in Kumano for both production volume and innovation. We manufacture 500,000 brushes each month. In addition to our own line, we produce and provide high quality makeup brushes for many leading cosmetic companies and makeup artist brands worldwide as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) supplier.
Through decades of collaborations and development, we have made only the ultimate fude, the perfect tool.
